Ten Thousand Hexagons
Full color Dharma Wheel artist's print
The precision and math built into the mind of the honey bee allows the colony to build an amazing city. Thousands of hexagons render honey that gives life and energy to any being with the sense and knowledge to listen carefully and respect life. That said, many thoughtful people would contend that the honey bee, while alive, has no mind at all. Awareness eludes it and whatever it achieves is rote. Its genius and brilliance are automatic and, therefore, reflect neither genius or brilliance.
The honeycomb is akin to the sand that monks use to create a mandala. It is temporary but, for a time renders beauty and life.
