A 30 second Dharma Wheel story
Watercolor painting is perhaps the most intuitive creative medium available to an artist. It offers immediate expression, in bright colors, using the most life-giving substance on the planet as a catalyst. Control of the pigment, in certain circumstances, is elusive - relying on gravity, the texture of the paper, the precision of the object being painted and more.
Water is to this medium as blood is to any sentient being.
This wheel was never painted, though. It was, instead, texturized with software, using a rare rendered wheel as the foundation. That said, despite the binary foundation of all software, the results of the texturization offer as much control, and as little control, as fresh water. The effect of water, on this wheel, was mimicked yet it appears real.
This fact begs many questions for those contemplating the Buddhist path. What is real? What is illusion? Does it matter?
